“The legislative session is going to be short – just about 10 weeks – but the important issues  we have to tackle are numerous, ranging from transportation to bonding to what to do with our budget surplus,” Laine said. “It’s important for me to hear directly from constituents so I’m able to effectively take their priorities with me to the Capitol.” In addition to the opportunity for constituents to share viewpoints in person with their state representative, Rep. Laine will have a survey available for constituents to share their opinions on a variety of matters likely to be considered by the Legislature. (I wonder if all reps will have a survey this year?)  “By many measures, our state is heading in the right direction, but not all Minnesotans are feeling this economic recovery,” Laine said. “I’m looking forward to getting back to work with my colleagues to improve lives of ordinary Minnesotans, and I’ll be able to best do this with maximum input from constituents.”
