Vote Wolf Action Guide for Thursday, August 21

10:00 AM- Noon: Rep. Mike Freiberg (45B), Rep. Rick Hansen (52A). House of Representatives booth in Education Bldg.

Noon: Governor Mark Dayton will have a live interview at the Star Tribune booth. Republican opponent Jeff Johnson will be at the Fair & in the GOP booth.

Noon- 2:00 PM: Rep. Rick Hansen (52A), Rep. Jason Isaacson (42B). House of Representatives booth in Education Bldg.

1:00 PM: DFL Daily Panel: State Auditor Rebecca Otto and Rep. Steve Simon, DFL candidate for Secretary of State. The DFL booth is located at the corner of Dan Patch Avenue & Cooper.

6:00-8:00 PM: Rep. Mike Sundin (11A). House of Representatives booth in Education Bldg.

HFW at Minnesota State Fair Every Day

When: August 21 through September 1 (Labor Day),  8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Every Day
Where: Minnesota State Fairgrounds, Pet Center Building

Howling For Wolves is located inside the Pet Center Building for all 12 days of the Minnesota State Fair. Nearly 2 million people attended in 2013. The MN State Fair is a critical event where we reach and educate thousands about  the recreational wolf hunt in Minnesota. Please let your friends/family know to visit the booth and sign our letter to protect the Minnesota wolf population. The booth is open every day 8 AM - 8 PM.

More than 150 volunteers will work our booth too. Come by and meet other wolf advocates!

Carlton County Fair

When: August 14-17
Where: Carlton, MN

We wrap up our 2014 county fair appearances at the Carlton County Fair. Just south of Duluth, the four-day fair attracts nearly 35,000 every August. Howling For Wolves will take this opportunity to speak with both property owners and livestock producers and provide them with information on proven non-lethal methods. Rally For Wolves

When: August 9, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Where: Lake and Superior, Duluth, MN
Bring your friends, family and the kids to our Howling For Wolves' Rally For Wolves. Saturday, August 9th marks the 2nd anniversary of Howling For Wolves' first every rally at the MN Department of Natural Resources. Join us to celebrate the milestone. We've come a long way and we continue to make significant progress. We'll have our giant wolf banners. Want to make a sign? Great, we'd love to see it. HFW Volunteer Meeting

Where: Minneapolis, MN
Are you interested in learning more about Howling For Wolves? Our volunteers are active year-round participating in events, rallies, legislative planning, phone calling, special projects, administrative work and much, much more. We'll also take time to update everyone on the upcoming elections, the Minnesota State Fair, and what's coming up in the near future. Our informational volunteer meeting is on Saturday, August 9 from 10 AM - 11:30 AM at the Hennepin County Library (Gamble and Skogmo Conf. Room #N-402), downtown Minneapolis, 300 Nicollet Mall. Beltrami County Fair

When: July 30-August 3
Where: Bemidji, MN

Join Howling For Wolves as we participate in the 2014 Beltrami County Fair, an event that attacts more than 25,000 visitors annually. The fair is another great way to communicate with people in 'wolf country' (northern Minnesota) and let them know that gray wolves are vital to the environment. We will also share information on non-lethal methods with livestock producers. If you live in the Bemidji area, please consider volunteering for a shift in our booth. South St. Louis County Fair

When: July 9-13
Where: Proctor, MN
Howling for Wolves will be at the South St. Louis County Fair in NE Minnesota in July. We want to spread the word and garner support from those living in 'wolf country'. We also want to have open dialogue with livestock owners regarding non-lethal methods when dealing with wolf conflict.

Twin Cities Pride Festival

When: Sunday June 29,  10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Where: Loring Park, Pet Central Zone, Minneapolis, MN
Howling for Wolves will take part at the 42nd annual Twin Cities Pride Festival on June 28-29 in downtown Minneapolis' Loring Park. The Twin Cities Pride Festival is a celebration of the GLBT community and features more than 400 exhibitors, 40 food and beverage booths, 20 sponsors and 300,000 visitors. Admission is free to the public. Our tent will be located in the Pet Central Zone. Join us in the booth or come by and say 'hi'!
