'Golden jackals' of East Africa are actually 'golden wolves'

Despite their remarkably similar appearance, the "golden jackals" of East Africa are actually a wolf subspecies - "golden wolves". The discovery, based on DNA evidence and reported in the Cell Press journal Current Biology on July 30.

This is how real science is done. As opposed to government funded attempts of artificial crossbreading of wolves and coyotes practiced by Minnesota 'zoologists'.
