Outdoor Fundraiser Featuring Native American Singer Gen Huitt
Howling For Wolves invites you to:
Outdoor Fundraiser with Native American Singer Gen Huitt
Sunday, October 24, 2-4 PM
Downtown Park Pavilion, 40 Ninth Avenue South in Hopkins, Minnesota
*** If stormy weather - we will move just a few blocks away to The Warming House, 11000 Excelsior Blvd, Hopkins. Someone will be at the park to direct participants.
ABOUT GEN HUITT: Gen Huitt, from the Confederated Salish and Kootanie Reservation in Montana, has kindly offered her wonderful talent in support of the wolf and Howling For Wolves. This event will be a spirit-raiser too! We will gather with Gen Huitt and she will lead us in story and in a sing-along. She is an accomplished Native American songwriter who captures the wolf's spirit in her 1999 CD, "Return of the Wolf." She regularly performs at Glacier National Park. To learn more about Gen and preview her music, please visit her website: https://www.genhuitt.com
SUGGESTED MINIMUM DONATION: Please consider a minimum donation of $25, payable by cash or credit card on-site at the event, or through our website's DONATE page. We would prefer a donation to the Howling For Wolves "Action Fund" which is a 501(c)4 and non-tax deductible as it funds our legislative work to protect the wolf. We will also happily accept tax deductible donations as well.
EVENT DETAILS: The event will be outside at the Downtown Park Pavilion, Hopkins. If the weather is colder (less than 60 F) and raining, we will have it at the Warming House at the Hopkins Pavilion at 11000 Excelsior Blvd which is walking distance or short car ride away. We will determine the location that day and have someone directing people from Downtown Park to the Warming House if the weather is too bad. Bring a mask in case we need to go indoors. The Warming House is large with ample room for social distancing and restrooms. The park has some bench seating available as well as a port-a-potty.
HELP STOP WOLF KILLING TODAY! Wolves in WI, MT, ID and WY are being trapped and killed in horrific "hunts." Please visit our TAKE ACTION center to demand the wolf be relisted onto the endangered species list before it is too late!
QUESTIONS: We hope you can make it! Please email info@howlingforwolves.org with any additional questions.
